I am a political scientist focusing the political implications of the digital transformation. The last years, I have been particularly interested in German Internet policy. For my book “Netzpolitik – Genese eines Politikfeldes” I studied the actors, structures and discourses of this new policy field. Currently I am working on issues relating to the regulation of digital platforms and surveillance. My methodological focus is on text mining.
I am currently researcher at John F. Kennedy Institute (Freie Universität Berlin). Before, I was a researcher at University of Münster and a guest researcher at the Berlin Social Science Center. I studied Political Science in Cologne and Munich.
